That's fair. I personally would consider the Jersey Shore region to be anything east of the Parkway in Monmouth, Ocean, and Atlantic Counties, as well as all of CMC.

Uber jacks up rates where and when there's high demand

Reply to comment by AccountantOfFraud in A+ coalition building by Progressive Democrats leader Hector Oseguera. Is this his strategy for getting >30% of the vote next time? by clade_nade
Correct. New York was really the only place the GOP did well in the midterms, largely due to the crime messaging. They flipped 2 blue districts on Long Island, picked up seats in the state legislature in the city, and had the closest gubernatorial election in almost 20 years.

I don't know anything about Washington Heights, but Camden is one of the least safe cities in New Jersey.

Depends on if there's train service to the Meadowlands that day. If there is, then it's not a big deal, but if not, I'd recommend staying in NJ.

New Jersey for sure. Especially as the child of an immigrant, it's hard for me to identify with the US as a whole, whereas this state is my true home. I was born and raised here, and this is the place I love.

Going to the city, you need to transfer at Secaucus, which will usually have trains every 10 or 15 minutes. Coming home from the city is the bigger issue. Both lines go directly to Hoboken.

Unless you live in or north of Glen Rock and have service on both the Main and Bergen lines, this is basically it. As a lifelong Glen Rocker, I have the luxury of knowing I can basically afford to wait 15 minutes if I miss my train because I can just walk 2 blocks to the other station. Most people don't have this.
