More toward the angry whacko bumper stickers and nra crowd traditionally, but parts of the county are changing with more Hispanic residents, more gentrification, and more restaurant choices, to name a few.

I grew up in Hackettstown and Mansfield.
Hackettstown has some surprisingly good food and is also quite diverse.
The further into the rural areas you go the less appealing it gets culturally, although you can get a decent amount of land for cheap.
A lot of highway access close by in the right areas (Route 46, Route 80, Route 78)

ah thanks, that is helpful

Warren Township is in Somerset County. Are you getting it confused with Warren County? Granted, NJ place names can be a clusterf*ck at times.

Not sure if you intended to reply to me.
Please look at the post again, they specified they intended to inquire about Warren County, not Township.
Hence why my response offered insight on Warren County, not Township.

Warren County is bigger than one would think. Wooded land, a couple of bigger towns, Hackettstown and Phillipsburg. Easton is directly across the river from Pburg, with many food choices, a theater venue and farmer's market. Both towns have ethnic food options.
Blairstown to the north is very scenic and more artsy. We have a lot of deer, bear, and various livestock. Many farms. It has the most interesting roads from Shades of Death to curvy, steep mountain roads, to Jane Chapel and Lake Justit. There's Hope for antiques as well as the county seat in Belvidere.
Yeah it's 'red' but that's changing. And some of the friendliest people are in Pburg.

I think the other commenter may be thinking of Warren County. Assuming that you are referring to the township of Warren, conveniently located along 78, it’s beautiful. A decent mix of open spaces and suburb. Easy to get other places.

I relate. I’m no help about Warren County, but good luck!

Phillipsburg doesn’t have a great reputation but I think it’s been coming back lately. There’s a decent amount of stuff to do there and US-22 and I-78 both go right through it so there’s easy access to the city and the Lehigh valley in PA which is a cool area. Easton, across the river in PA, is a really neat town as well. It’s also more blue than other parts of the county.
Washington is just kind of depressing, I walked around the downtown once and I have no interest in going back, although the neighborhoods around it seem nice. There’s also an MVC location there which ig could be convenient. The town is just not really close to anything and other than the bowling alley there’s not really much going on.
But generally it’s pretty rural and scenic - there are a lot of really beautiful areas throughout the county. There also isn’t really much connection to public transportation, if that’s important; the only town with a train station is Hackettstown and there’s not really any connection to the NJ Transit bus network as far as I’m aware.

My brother moved to Warren Twp. late last year.
It's mostly composed of McMansions on wooded lots. No sidewalks and no real downtown to speak of if you're interested in those things.
Seems to be a bedroom community with easy access to I-78. O'Bagel has delicious bagels, though.

Beautiful but a red county in a blue state.
