Oh they bombed themselves did they? Good, good.

The context changed, but their tactics are exactly the same. Totally predictable 5D chess by Putin.

I wouldn't believe Russia if they said it was raining, I'd check.

And that would be just to confirm whether it's snowing or not - because I'd know for sure it wasn't raining.

The old Russian paradox in action:

- we are so strong and the world should respect us (through fear and awe)

- 50 people attacked Russia and we are a victim who needs simpathy.

Well, which one fucking is it Russia?

Probably false flag, Kyiv has already denied it as per the updated headline

Might be poisoned from cheap, tainted Indian booze. Russians can't afford good booze anymore, and no one else will sell it to them, I guess.

What a bunch of crybabies

pomaj46808 t1_jamqnx8 wrote

Calling them crybabies implies they're being sincere, this is 100% about pushing a "both sides" narrative to dampen support for Ukraine.

They're targeting the passively ignorant types who will tell themselves, "I'm against the war in general and it sounds like both sides are hurting civilians, supporting Ukraine just prolongs a war that's ultimately none of my business so I'm against my country giving them any more aid."

Russia, truly the most innocent of military powers. Why do these awful random events keep happening to them when they've done nothing? /s

one country's terrorist attack is another country's defense against an illegal invasion

tcmart14 t1_jao3ons wrote

Even if Ukraine did, so what? Mariupol would like a word. It is kind of a side effect when you go to war with another country. If you reduce their cities to rubble, you should expect that there is a good chance one of your cities may be reduced to rubble.

And Reuters repeats that statement with a straight face? How comical.

3

brumac44 t1_jarxfc3 wrote

If you're attacking Ukraine, the sites you launch those attacks from are fair game. As well as the infrastructure you need to support the invasion. A few small groups could do a lot of damage in Russia, without the bad press of bombing civilians. If nothing else, having to commit resources to tracking them down means those resources aren't being used to invade Ukraine.

ReddGoat t1_jan97ia wrote

I don't believe this for a second. Of course the same can be said for every statement coming from Russia.

Here is how you can tell if Russia is lying, they're speaking...

I don’t think anyone ever told vlad it’s not Opposite Day anymore. It’s so funny how trumps entire strategy was basically copy pasted from his Russian handlers, like literally “whatever happens just say it was the opposite”

Funny use of the phrase "terrorist attack" for possibly attacks made by a country you are actively at war with. I guess when the USSR marched into Berlin in '45 that was a terrorist attack. When the brits and US landed on normandy in '44 that was a terrorist attack.

Anxious-derkbrandan t1_janijrd wrote

I mean, the US goes half way across the world to bomb weddings because “terrorism” yet they can’t explain how those people are going to make it to the mainland
