I feel bad for Maple really. Can you really blame a creature for just doing what it has to to survive? It clearly had feelings and cared about you. I know your experience was awful man but I just can’t help but fee bad for her.

I understand where you are coming from, but it's more that she didn't kill her "food" first before consuming them, which she probably could have quite easily done. At least it was relatively quick, I suppose.

Yeah I get that. I guess I thought given how she could speak that she'd be close to, if not as intelligent as us. An animal killing and eating out of pure instinct and an intelligent being doing... those things, are two completely separate islands altogether
