I don't know about lucky. Everything we do online is stored somewhere around the world.
Many of those servers are harmless, some are even protected, but none are safe from a determined hacker.
To "go dark" means that you cannot come online without setting off an alarm somewhere. Not even to post this story.

Likely not, I've read extensively and your story is echoed in many of them.
It seems you clicked the wrong link. Personally I do not explore the web in the same way I used to.
I've been to some very dark places and I've made sure never to go back.

No problem, but if someone out there was really "onto you" no matter if it was just a "warning" you can be sure that no amount of anonymity online is going to keep you safe either.

Everyone I've known who used the dark web just uses it to buy drugs. No problems for them. You must have delved too deep.
