If only there was some way they could quickly and easily trade with the rest of Europe to be sure to have enough food. Some type of common market perhaps?

Is any nation not hurting? I keep seeing posts about Canada and the UK like this and I just don't know how it's going to get any better for anyone. Depressing to say the least.

It was mentioned on the radio that while there are shortages in the UK, a reporter for Channel 4 News tweeted out a picture of a Ukrainian supermarket that was fully stocked. So less food than an actual war zone.

Eh, continental Europe is doing just.

Inflation is a thing too of course - that's a problem for everyone right now (you can thank the Russians for that). But the shelves are fully stocked and there are no shortages anywhere.

Russian oil companies put the price of oil up and caused inflation?

Please do explain it to me.

Nah this is definitely a UK specific issue due to brexit. I don't think anyone is debating that lol.

Quite possibly a wind-up, but saw a post somewhere where supermarkets near the front line in Ukraine were fully stocked.

Things seem genuinely chill here in France, food is like 10% more expensive, but I live in one of Frances most expensive areas so we haven't seen much of an increase.
