The cause of the first global market bubble and the latest coming together. Time is a flat circle.

The article doesn't describe anything. Lol

The video in the article does. Typically these greenhouses use natural gas to heat them. This greenhouse uses renewable energy to power bitcoin servers then uses the waste heat to heat the greenhouse.

Couldn't they just use renewable energy to power electric heaters? This seems like a stupid solution.

It makes sense if you view bitcoin as a solution in search of a problem.

Well bitcoin mining computers are pretty much just electric heaters anyway. It's actually pretty good, because you're using the energy to produce heat anyway, so you might as well get some useful computation out of it as its transformed from electric to thermal

Wow I thought you were exaggerating but it literally doesn't. I kept expecting "So we're installing crypto servers in greenhouses" but no.

The only thing that I'm familiar with is they're taking the heat from these mining centers and then pumping water through some pipes to heat up the water to send it back to homes. Of course it says nothing to do with flowers but still.

What are two things that I wouldn't mind to see disappear due to the sheer waste of resources they demand.
