Does it really happen more in the US than elsewhere? Googling brings up plenty of cases in Europe and Asia. One of the top results is this wiki which is obviously incomplete but does represent most countries -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_miscarriage_of_justice_cases

Two in US, one in UK, one in Italy. I’d need to see some real statistics to believe this is dominantly an American problem, exonerated by podcasts or otherwise
