The good news is that moderator team probably has a procedure for handling classified documents being posted to the forum.

How many members of the mod team are actually FBI agents?

bilateralrope t1_j5oxp19 wrote

There doesn't need to be any. Just give the mod team the phone number of the FBI agent who they will contact when it happens and warn them about what will happen if they don't say anything.

None. As the comment above alluded to, they're GRU/FSB agents. Gaijin is a formerly Russian company.

Any source on that? Gaijin left Russia in 2015. And they have spoken out againt the war.

Ah my mistake; they were Co investors with Gazprom in another game that caught headlines recently.

The latest leaks weren't actually leaks, the F-16 and F-15 stuff was just export-restricted and already on the internet somewhere. The real funny one is the Su57 """stealth fighter""" one, where it has a radar return like 1000 times bigger than an F-22, comparable to an F-18.

That wasn’t even classified iirc that was free domain patent info. People are going out of their way to find “secret” info and just posting random open source shit.

Thing is these things are on the internet yes, but legally afaik it's still not allowed to be spread around. Just because something is available online does not mean it is allowed to be spread by people. And where individuals will likely get away with it. If gaijin starts using it as a basis for game changes they can very likely get into legal trouble.

Just like sure, you can download a movie. And if you watch it somewhere in your own home? Odds are no one will care. Now, show that movie to a large group or start handing out that downloaded movie? That's when you start being in trouble.

Pretty sure that either the F16 or F15 leak specifically said on the uploaded document to not ever, ever let it leave the country without permission first, on pain of severe criminal charges.

For as much as the US loves its military stuff, you'd think we'd win more, like, actual wars.

Winning on the battlefield isn’t the problem. It’s the occupation afterwards and getting the support of the people in that country that is difficult to achieve.

No, it's definitely part of the problem.

You’d almost expect them to leak all of this to the DCS devs. Because you’know. They might implement it?
