Well, Disney uses bromine instead of chlorine to keep the water clean. That has a distinct smell and smell triggers nostalgia. I can see the idea behind this, but the scam prices are laughable.

(Edit: they use it because it's safer to handle in large quantities, easier on skin and clothes, and performs much better keeping the water clean. It's more expensive than chlorine which is why pools rarely use it.)

Went to Disney for the first time last year. The line for that ride was 3 hours long. After barely moving for 30 minutes I convinced my daughter it would not be worth the wait.

Trying to figure out the angel Tucker Carlson will latch onto for a tirade about this on his show. Gotta be some anti-woke angle here to leverage that faux outrage. I'm guessing it'll hinge on Tiana being not-white.

I can understand keeping some for yourself because you were there when it existed, and you know it's genuine and you'll have a good memory to look back on. I can't understand why anyone else would want it. There's no way to verify it's authenticity. For all you know you could be buying pool water someone shoved in a jar and called "Splash Mountain water"

Smell triggers nostalgia, not bromine specifically. The smell of bromine treated water brings back memories of Disney water rides for a lot of people. Unfortunately for me, I just remember "It's a Small World", and then that damn song gets stuck in my head for ages.

dude space mountain was so fucking awesome, it's like a combo black crazy water slide + rollercoaster, so metal.

i went there after it became star wars land and that ride was lame as shit, like ok, a shitty indoor coaster, sounds effects and projectors? congrats.

and the fact that they made that building stop spinning??? madness

Me too! Around 1995 I think. We got discount tickets from locals and spent a week doing all the rides, parks, experiences. water parks and Universal with no stress. Before half of Universal was wiped out by hurricanes. Even stayed on property. Nothing like how people talk about going there today
