So how exactly is giving people info on how to vote a bad idea?

  1. It's a reminder to vote.
  2. It's full of any info they need to vote.

You'd probably have better luck getting people to vote by making it easier for them (i.e. the info I posted) or giving them reasons to vote. I don't believe scolding people ever works.
(BTW I've voted in every election I could since I became eligible)
