It really has. Apparently (from the x-post thread) the museum is lights out "to represent the blackouts" and shows endless videos of refugees. No thanks, I'll stick to places like the Met and Tenement Museum.

>Ukrainian Museum
What kind of a question is that? It's a museum curated with Original Ukrainian art, artifacts. A museum is a place you go to learn. Every museum is worth the visit if you are cultured and willing to learn... Geez!!!

I think it's a very valid question, no need to get upset. Before Feb. 24th, probably no one here except for Ukrainian American's even knew this place existed, myself included. So, is there something in this museum that makes it stand out or is this just a sympathy post to make us feel warm and toasty on the inside?

They have a pysanka painting course around Easter time. It's something to do if you're interested in the craft. Otherwise it's more of a pysanka collection, some embroidery and the history of the craft, and a few other things. There's a new curator so it'll be curious to see what direction the museum goes, but I imagine a lot of it will focus on the Russian invasion moving forward.
