This is an update to the story to the racist P.S. 166 Principal Debra Mastriano, who says she hates her Asian students (and seemingly all Asian people in general) and also took away multiple students' food for them simply being 'overweight'.

She has not been fired and is instead apparently being defended by a principal's union, as reported in the updated article.

This whole story is just crazy.

A union rep brought doughnuts. I’m not seeing the issue. People often bring doughnuts when they’re trying to make a good impression.

Fuck the principal, but I don’t see how the union rep bringing doughnuts is mocking or even relevant.

It means the union rep didn’t stop and think and ask themselves: “is bringing coffee and donuts to a meeting about a principal taking away donuts and snacks going to look bad?”

There are always other options. Being a crisis navigator means listening and thinking, basic skills that would’ve made it clear bringing a point of contention to a meeting about said contention is a bad idea.

I would’ve done pizza and soda. The principal didn’t take away pizza or soda, right?

Teachers, even those caught molesting students , aren’t fired, look up the building in Manhattan they all go to and sit around in order to clock in work hours. May have changed post covid but it was 100% a thing as recently as 3 years ago.

Oh man where are all the proud teacher unions redditors we have on this sub that come out of the woodwork whenever a anti teacher article from the Post is posted on this sub? Curious.

Thanks for reading the article, but this is about the principals union. Another union which does not represent rank and file New Yorkers.
