Got the flu last week after avoiding the flu for over 20 years. Sucked. Got my covid booster yesterday, I do not want to get fucked by covid again.

Did you also get a flu shot? I haven’t gotten the flu since I was 12 and now I’m worried I’ll get it.

You should still get the flu shot this year because there are more than one strains. Having had the flu does not protect you from not getting another strain. You probably had strain A which the worse one this year.

Of course you should get the shot every year. You can get it at the same time as the covid shot.

I got the 2nd booster and flu shot together. The result was the same as the first booster and flu shot in one go from last winter: a 12 hour migraine the following day that no amount of sleep, fluids, and Advil/Tylenol could solve.

Still felt it was worth it vs getting Covid or Flu.

I got the flu within the two weeks after my flu/covid shots. I didn't get as sick as I think I would have and was on the mend after about 4 days. Terrible cough and headache though!
