Hopefully a good number of people have gotten the bivalent booster which according to studies seems to prevent people from getting extremely ill from this new variant.

I don’t think we have this evidence yet. Certainly, the medical advice is to get the bivalent booster, and there is some basis for believing that it should provide some protection against severe illness due to the unfortunately-named “Kraken” variant. But we’re still at the “best educated guess” stage, on this.

There's some evidence that it's providing additional protection.

That’s good! Hot off the presses, too. It’s not perfect, but it’s certainly closer to the mark than I thought we were.

Hopefully people have begun to realize that the pharma companies are as full of shit as they’ve always been and that Covid is gonna stay with us for the long haul no matter how many minimally effective drugs they try to scare us into taking. The number of times they’ve pushed drugs they knew were harmful and/or ineffective but also knew they’d profit from even when it was proven they’d behaved unethically.. it’s not insignificant.

Hopefully people will educate themselves even tiny little bit in between swiping things on their phone to realize that getting vaccines and boosters help you to not get very sick and die. They don't cure anything and make it possible to go prancing around coughing and wheezing on everyone because someone wants their 2019 life back.
