They’ll fine it during an audit so you’re better off telling your boss so you don’t have to deal with cross year repayments

If your employer shorted you you'd definitely bring it up.

Be honest. I can't emphasize enough how much personal integrity matters in business. And while "all business / capitalism bad" is a mantra that seems to be gaining traction, the reality is that if you do little things like chisel money on reimbursements or don't bring payroll errors up or otherwise do things like that, I now have to question what you'll do if given a bigger opportunity at graft (like stealing IP, or from a customer).

Do you really think it would look good trying to steal from your employer? Tell your boss/hr/payroll department and work with them to correct it.

You ask payroll the question if it's correct.

Just updating that I notified my boss and they will have HR work on it. It wouldn’t be shocking if this company overlooked it but agree, it isn’t right and I like this company.
