Leaves are appearing on street trees in my neighborhood. It’s WAY too early. Like at least 6 weeks early. They’re going to get burned by frost which means less leaf cover this summer.

Are we sure these are cherry? I notice these too, it's a particular tree that also likes to bloom in December if it's warm enough. Not sure of the species
