Was pleasantly surprised to find that the oldest surviving passenger railroad station in the country is here in Philadelphia county - Shawmont station in Roxborough. Currently undergoing rehab to reopen this summer.Odd-Emergency5839 OP t1_j7g2mqb wrote
So I may have misinterpreted the sign- I don’t think service is going to be restored here but the station is getting $1.25m in repairs/restorations. Sad that trains won’t stop here but very glad it’s being restored nonetheless
