She has her own driver?!? Cops are talking about a shortage of personnel but have useless positions like a chauffeur.

You should read Rebecca Rynhart’s audit of the police department, there’s a lot of that going on

That’s usually standard, commissioner is always on the phone and making appearances. Don’t want to be texting and driving and be involved in an accident oh wait….There’s a long list of useless positions/overtime abuse and I wouldn’t put this at the top. Now the question is how much is that driver making where it becomes absurd.

Not saying Outlaw doesn’t need assistants, just that they don’t need to be trained officers.

Eh, is the president's chauffeur secret service? I'd be surprised if they didn't have training, same with a police commissioner or higher up like a mayor. If it goes down, going to want all the personnel there able to defend the VIP.

Does the police commissioner of Philadelphia require the same level of support as the president?

No, which is why she doesn't get a whole caravan accompanying her. However, it doesn't appear like she even gets a police escort; it's just her and her driver. I'm not surprised that the driver is a trained officer and not a regular chauffeur, as he may also double as protection.

Literally all major cities have drivers for high positions like DA, Mayor, and Commissioner. This isn’t something uncommon.

It’s standard for every major metropolitan city. NY, Philly, Chicago, LA etc. All City executive leadership have chauffeurs and/or a police protective detail.

Yup. High ranking police and other government officials always have drivers. It's fucked up.
