What you described isn’t what happened, so it doesn’t set a precedent. At least not to the scenario your describing. The larger dog was tearing her smaller dog to shreds, she physically intervened and tried to break them up and when that failed she shot the larger dog in its hindquarters.

This was not a knee jerk reaction to a dog barking aggressively and acting out.

Your plates were likely stolen by someone who intends on committing a crime using their vehicle with your plates attached. They put the other plates on your car in the hopes that you wouldn’t notice them stolen and don’t report it. Once you report the plates stolen they will be flagged whenever they are scanned by an automatic license plate reader.

Based on this terribly written article, what happened is:

  1. Guns were used in the shooting.

  2. Deputy Sheriff came into possession of the guns after the shooting (article does not disclose how.)

  3. Deputy Sheriff sold the guns to an undercover FBI agent and was arrested.

  4. Guns were traced back to the shooting (Again the article does not say how but most likely though ballistics comparison to spent rounds found at the crime scene.)

I am wondering if the guns were found by or surrendered to law enforcement and were placed into evidence waiting to be processed/destroyed and the Deputy stole them to sell them. I’m not sure how the city handles found/surrendered weapons or if they are all held at a central location where multiple law enforcement agencies have access (Philly PD, Sheriff, SEPTA PD, University Police etc.)

Either that or someone involved directly in the shooting provided the Deputy with them, but that seems unlikely.

Granted I usually just stop in to look at toys & collectibles when I’m in the area for work but Brave New Worlds seems to have a pretty good selection of comics.
