They really need to address the dangerous pedestrian/illegal parking/Uber situation they have in front of that. They put the barricade up and that made the problem worse not better. Of course if we had a police force that gave a fuck, it would be easily solved.

Tourism in Philly is meant to complement seeing the Rocky statue, getting a cheesesteak and posing in front of the Liberty bell and not hinder it. People are going to do whatever they want to do. It’s their job to get tourists to stay longer.

So the guys that post up at the statue every weekend and hassle tourists for money to take their Rocky photo will be out of a job or …?

Why wouldn’t they actually put a visitor center in the empty visitor center building in Love Park? Nah, let’s park a shipping container next to the beautiful architecture of the art museum instead.

I live 5 minutes from the musueam and the novelty hasn't worn off. Everytime I go up the stairs and look at the view it's like my first time. The musueam building itself is a fascinating work of architecture that I can't get bored staring at.

That being said, I've never once set foot inside. I have zero interest in art and can't tell a master piece from a child's scribble. I'd assume a good amount of tourists are in the same boat as me. Also, every medium-to-big city in the country has an art museum. You have to be really obsessed with art to differentiate between what the PMA offers vs any other art museum.
