The FM schedule looks busy though not full. I’m guessing some tours will choose an alternative over Live Nation venues when they can.

Is FM Pavillion what we're calling Camden these days? Mann is way better anyway.

I don’t think they are either but I think live nation does all the other stuff around it like promotion and whatnot. When you get a mixed drink in the cocktail shaker it says live nation on it

I’ve noticed something similar, felt like last summer the Mann had over a dozen shows I wanted to see where Camden had maybe 1 or 2 that I was interested in. Seems like the artists have a big preference for the Mann over Camden

Phish for example is choosing to do a 2 night run at the Mann this summer and did the same last summer, when they could’ve booked Camden and sold an extra 10k tickets per night. No idea what the reason could be tho

I really like the Mann, I do. But the lines of sight on the lawn are awful if you're not in front of the cement walkway and the sound is incredibly muddy. The parking attendants this summer at Phish were fantastic, super organized and yelled at appropriate times/volume.

The nitrous tanks are ridiculously out of hand, and while they're also at Camden, it seemed much worse at the Mann. The food options are really limited, too.

Camden has a kind of shifty parking situation if you're not in the close lots, but the sound is WAY better on the lawn, as well as the line of sight. Watching the sun set over Philly during shows on the lawn is such a beautiful addition, and I was kind of miffed that the Mann was chosen again for Phish's summer tour stop in Philly.

That Tweezerfest last summer was fantastic, though.

I for one, welcome it. Getting out of Camden after a concert is a nightmare. You either stay for encore and hang out for a couple hours or leave early or you’re extra fucked no matter what form of transportation you take.

The Mann, on a nice clear summer night, is a magical venue. I also love the Dell but there is rarely a great show. I saw Paul Simon on his Graceland tour and it was one of my favorite concerts ever.

The Mann’s lawn is much cooler on hot summer nights because of the grass and trees. And there’s local food carts at the top of it. Camden’s lawn is like sitting on concrete. Give me a Mann show over Camden any day.

The trick for the Mann is to just hang out in the moat between the lawn and pav if you have lawn tickets. As long as you're okay with standing and can get there early enough, it's a great view. I did that for Phish N2 last year and it worked out pretty well. I was lucky enough to score actual seats in the main section for the Tweezerfest N1, which as you mentioned was absolutely face-melting.

I think the nitrous tanks are just a problem everywhere, but the lot scene tends to be so cramped at the Mann that they're all on top of each other and it makes it seem worse.

Same here! I just Googled it, and the main result was: Freedom Mortgage Pavilion (formerly BB&T Pavilion). The name of this place seems to change every other month.

Phish is not at all unique for fans leaving trash in the parking lots/surrounding area. Not excusing the littering, but it happens everywhere. Take a look at what it looks like after, say, a Kenny Chesney show.

As far as the balloons go, wooks gonna wook.

Love the Skyline Stage. It's so nice to be able to pay the same price to be able to either hang out on the grass in the back or get right up front on the rail if you want to.

I dunno but the Mann is a great venue. Beats the other place hands down.

The Mann is much better venue. More intimate shed. Great history. Great parking lot with some shade. It’s in the woods. Free parking. Best view of the city. It’s in Philly. Fuck Camden, I hate that venue. Too big and the sound sucks. The lot sucks. You gotta pay to get back home
