I would say it's actually hugely important and should be called out. Accidental deaths by firearms, especially of children, is a big deal. 22 million children live in a household with guns, many unsecured and loaded, and at least 1,300 children die annually when they get their hands on them. 36x more children die this way than in school shootings, it absolutely deserves our attention.

Of course, but to me that's part of a larger philosophical question as to whether or not human beings are sufficiently advanced to responsibly wield firearms, which in my opinion is a big no.
