John simply does not get enough recognition for his role in Spun (2002)!

I also feel that way about his role as Tybalt in "Romeo + Juliet". When I bought up Tybalt; he smiled and said he had a lot of fun playing him.

Violator was peak Leguizamo
Followed closely by Luigi Mario
but really, he's pretty good at whatever character he's playing.

That movie really took me by surprise. I didn't know those two could put that much genuine emotion into a movie. I'd only seen them as comic actors.

That whole second half is comfort food.

If I had a friend like Martin in Chef, I wouldn't need any other friends. Loves working with you, knows what you are thinking, tells you hard truths, always has your back.

My favorite role of his is Benny Blanco, from the Bronx, in Carlito's Way

Poor old Carlito. He almost made it.
LukeSniper t1_iugamqh wrote
I think that movie holds up better than Scarface, personally.
Scarface feels dated. Carlitos Way, being a period piece, aged better IMO

Hijacking top to say his Netflix show is incredible. For someone with a certain reputation, John Leguizamo has amazing range, pathos, and heart, and he puts on one hell of a show. I remember watching some HBO show of his maybe 10 years ago and being blown away. Guy is seriously talented at one-man stage shows.
