Does anybody live there that can provide some additional information?

We are new to the area and are trying to understand the pricing difference of Infinity Custom Homes offered there in Bridgeville vs the same homes offered in the Cranberry area. We are worried if we build in Cranberry we are getting ripped off in a way?

For example, the Napa and Aspen model are offered at nearly half the price at the Newbury plan in Bridgeville (400k+ vs 800k+) compared to Cranberry area. When we look at the Infinity Custom Homes website they do not even mention this plan which seems odd.

Just a guess. Cranberry is one of the hotter housing markets in the area and considered pretty upscale (at least to people who are into suburbs it does). Bridgeville is neither of those things.

Something else to consider - if you have a commute into town, coming in from the direction of Bridgeville would be significantly more painful than coming from the north.

Those in Bridgeville are closer to both city/airport and are within South Fayette school district which is one of the best in the state I believe…so I am not sure that is a factor here.

Looks like the median sales price is almost double in the Cranberry zip code for a single family home.

South Fayette likes to charge extra for the added luxury of overlooking a brownfield.

I’m mostly kidding. It’s just weird having grown up in the poorer areas of SF to now see 7 figure homes being sold across from where the Koppers plant used to be.

The 800k homes start at 3000sq ft and the 400k homes start at 2200sqft. So I imagine there’s really a 150k-200k difference in cost. So it will prob come down to finishes and what’s included and what’s not included. Also SF has some of the highest taxes in Allegheny county

Go look at Newbury on google maps…it has been built out years ago. I don’t think any lots are left. Judging from the street view it was built around 2014 which matches with my recollection and the last homes were sold around 2019. You could call them and ask if they have any more lots. I’m guessing the $400k was put on the website a long time ago and is out of date. At least on google maps there are a couple of lots in the smaller section but those might have different models and floor plans

If you look at the Infinity Homes website they don’t list the newbury, and only show two developments in the south hills that are active. You are comparing an old price to a current price. During the last festival of homes, I think it was 2019, I stopped at an infinity home to see how a different tax bracket lives and the rep told me the average home they build is in excess of $900k. By now that numbers probably over a million.
