I've done this move several times (in both directions). I usually just rented a small U-Haul or borrowed a minivan with the seats out and did it myself.

not unless you get someone to drive it for you, i guess, no. if you have a friend who drives who would be willing to help you out, it is probably the most cost-effective option, though.

What pointers are you looking for, exactly? Not many students coming from a single bedroom home have a lot of stuff to move, so I'm not sure what your issue is.

How much stuff do you have to move? Are you looking for help carrying stuff, or do you just need a large vehicle to physically deliver your stuff? What is your budget? What kind of "stuff" are we talking - appliances, a piano or two, or just boxes with clothes?

You're giving zero information, and even if you called a moving company they'd be asking you the same exact questions.

I can't help you out with a recommendation, but I feel compelled to say that you are not going to find a moving service to move you from Pittsburgh to Johnstown for 100 dollars or less. I would be shocked if you can find one for less than 500 dollars.

Since Johnstown is not super far, I would recommend renting a uhaul truck yourself, since prices are pretty fair and the trucks are good quality and easy to drive, either asking family or friends for the load/unload. Or, checking on the uhaul site for just movers for the loading portions if you decide to drive yourself https://www.uhaul.com/MovingHelp/Pittsburgh-PA/1/Results/ Also, I’ve had friends use Two Men and a Truck and had a great experience though I’m not sure how far they travel to outside the city so you might need to call.
