not unless you get someone to drive it for you, i guess, no. if you have a friend who drives who would be willing to help you out, it is probably the most cost-effective option, though.

I've done this move several times (in both directions). I usually just rented a small U-Haul or borrowed a minivan with the seats out and did it myself.

not really. if anything, I feel like we have lots of local/regional chains vs. the national chains for a city of our size.

Yeah there was. I’ve seen photos of at least one on one of those vintage Pittsburgh IG accounts. In the 80s on the corner of Liberty and 9th where the now RIP (but opened in 1987) Sammy’s Corned Beef was. Seems like Sheetz had a pretty big presence in PGH for a period ending in the late 80s.

OP's electric is insanely high. i have a similar sized house with gas heat and my bill last month for 2 adults was $125. Highest bill I have gotten in 2 years at my current place is $225 with central air running constantly. Also have Duquesne Light.

FiOS and Comcast are the only 2 real choices. I have had FIOS for the last 2 years, but have had Comcast before that. I basically bounce between them whenever one raises the price outrageously. I think FIOS for strictly internet is a better, more consistent service these days. I pay $59.99 for 600 up/down and use my own router so that's the fee out the door. Not quite gigabit but good enough for me and my partner and our many devices. Haven't really had any notable outages so far.

they added QR code readers to many of the bigger T stops so you can pay using the Transit app now apparently. i haven't seen anyone really using them, but they popped up in the last few months.

Kuhn's on Banksville Rd. and Shop n Save on Castle Shannon Blvd. get them but only occasionally. Like I might see them a few times a year. They are usually hidden on the side of a random Utz endcap. I always buy a bag of regular and a bag of red hots when I see them.

Reply to Inexpensive good winter wear? by golde62
besides thrift stores, Costco, the Columbia outlet at Tanger, and sale racks at places like Kohl's or Macy's.
I had a "Zeroxposur" brand winter snowboarding style jacket that i didn't love the look of, and had friends make fun of the brand name, but it lasted me like 7 years and was warm and comfortable before finally starting to fall apart and was not very expensive. Pretty sure places like Kohls and JCPenney still sell them.
