Just got an email from the vice dean of the Pitt school I work in that there has been a confirmed shooter. I don't know if I trust that yet.

It’s a whole thing affecting west PA counties, after a shooting of some kind asshole kids, foreigners, or adults will call in a hoax shooting just to rile people and police up or to skip school

I never spread guesses. I posted reports of this happening at other schools in the region this morning. My nephews school is reporting to parents that this is a nationwide issue today and not an isolated incident. I hope the situation at CC is as well.

I’ve been listening to the scanner all morning. A Central Catholic student called UPMC Police who then called regular Police stating that there were “6 people shot in a second floor bathroom.”

Police responded and found no active shooter or victims, however they are locking down and evacuating as a precaution.

Laurel highlands, central catholic, holidaysburg, Altoona, hopewell. These schools all had shooter reports today. News is reporting it as nationwide robocall hoax.

I never said any were hoaxes. I came in initially saying a similar situation was happening at my nephews school an hour outside the city at the same time and found other schools in the area were as well.

Yeah that was definitely a problematic email. Just got the all clear email and that classes are cancelled for the remainder of the day. This shit is wild... and depressing.
