BRGR was very much a 2010 restaurant. It was part of that bourbon-and-bacon semi-elevated comfort food wave. Even as a part of that movement, they weren’t very good. I’m surprised they lasted this long. I fully expect Milkshake Factory to join BRGR in the next year or two.

I thought Milkshake Factory's expansion always seemed bizarre and unsustainable. The East Liberty location opened in the dead of winter, exactly when everyone's jonesing for a milkshake. That one and downtown always look like the ultra-luxe stores at the mall--bright, clean, empty and with lots of dead-eyed employees milling around.

Why do you think that? I’ve never been to milkshake factory when it wasn’t busy, even though the prices are outrageous.

My experiences with the Milkshake Factory are the exact opposite, I am always the only person there.

I haven’t been inside one in years, but every time I walk past one it’s empty

The East Liberty location was/is a cool space. Square Cafe occupying that whole separate restaurant and leaving both empty every evening is such a waste.

Yeah, my wife and I went to the Galleria the other night and were surprised to see it was shut down. Last time we went there it wasn't very good though, which is why we thought it shut down.

FWIW we still enjoy Burgatory in Homestead.

That's a shame. I enjoyed their burgers.

I feel like their product was never as good as Burgatory

The last two times I was there, it was a comedy of errors. Wrong orders from both the kitchen and the bar, out of certain ingredients, disinterested staff.

I didn’t realize this was their last open location. Never was a big fan.

Overpriced. You can overprice a lot of things here, seafood, steak...but too many good options for an expensive burger to make it.

Did they sell chips at the hamburger store?

Only time I ever went there it just felt like mcdonalds with a higher price tag. Food wasn't necessarily bad but it wasn't anything that brought me back.
