Both the kids and I are off tomorrow so I thought that would make for a good opportunity to take the family somewhere. Naturally we're thinking a museum since it's winter.. any other ideas? Is the Big Mac Museum worth checking out? Something kid friendly obviously

Have you ever been to the national aviary? It’s a pretty amazing experience and is pretty immersive as you are walking around in exhibits where the animals and birds are not confined to cages. It gets nothing but rave reviews when we take family trips there.

How old are the kids? Science center, with the planetarium, submarine and sports works is always a hit and on a random Tuesday it should be pretty empty.

I'm pretty sure the Big Mac museum is just a McDonald's with some memorabilia on the walls- but I could be wrong (if so I'm sure someone will correct me. I 2nd the aviary!

Children's museum is great if the kids are young. My 8 year old was too old for it this fall.

Was there a few months ago. There’s some memorabilia going over the history of the Big Mac in advertising campaigns over the years, and that’s about it. The giant Big Mac statue is there, but it is closed off to the public

I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but the Big Mac is a just a rip-off of the Big Boy.

How about the trolley Museum?

Heinz history center just got ranked in top 10

Children's museum is a riot imo for 5+ year olds and probably won't be super packed on a weekday. if your kids are older there is the museum lab (but looks like it's only open Saturday).
