“We?” No, you fucked up and hit a cyclist. Stop trying to duck direct responsibility with weasel words. What’s wrong with “I fucked up, I’m responsible?”

To be fair, most people wouldn't publicly say this while court cases/insurance investigations are pending.

Maybe he's recklessly negligent driver or maybe it really was just an unfortunate accident, but admitting fault is a terrible idea.

Hull Street, dude riding the wrong direction and wearing headphones clips the front of my car as I am waiting to pull out. I sure wasn't telling cops I was responsible.

Agree 100%, his comment is truly sickening.

I know that stretch of Osborne, just South of the 7-11 per the article. There is no issue with visibility there, plenty of room, only issue I can think of would be being impaired or distracted.

Not taking responsibility. Drove a cyclist off the road.

this is like half a mile from where Jonah Holland was killed by a driver last August, drivers simply don't fucking care

Anyone who passes a cyclist in the same lane should lose their license. Really tired of being buzzed by assholes doing 60 inches from me.

The law that says we have to stay as far to the right as practicable gets cyclists killed for the convenience of car drivers. We should all be flouting that law and taking the lane at all times.

This suxs for both parties, but wait there is a bike path within site of where this happened, and the road is pretty wide here, Imagine on some of our other roads that arent a full 2 lanes wide that are full of bike traffic.

Like I said it suxs for both parties involved, fortunate that the biker wasnt hurt bad

Then drive to the prevailing road conditions, wait for sufficient space to make a safe maneuver, overtake giving 3ft, enjoy the warm feeling of being a safe and considerate road user. So what if there's a bike path near there!

As someone who regularly has moved oversized loads down the back roads of this community, the bikes are a giant pain in the butt, and the majority of the time the cyclist are not proactive for their own safety, thats why I say the bike path is near by, it was created to be a safe place for them to ride and to actually go somewhere. If the option to ride safely isnt at the top of your mind, you are the problem! I said it Im sure I will be downvoted past hell and out the other side of the earth, but you havent ever heard of a automobile driver run over by a bicyclist and injured. Be proactive, be safe, I know no one that wants to be in accident much less with a bicycle

As someone who has been more inconvenienced by drivers moving large loads than I ever have by cyclists, maybe consider that you’re the bigger pain in the butt. However, does that give me the right to nearly kill you? Should I give a fuck about other people almost killing you or should I encourage them with “both sides” bullshit?

Share the road, dont impede the flow of traffic, Im not sayin he was right or wrong . Im saying its equal amounts of not paying attention not just drivers or bikers, dont like me for speaking the truth idk, go ride the back roads in the west end then, o wait there probably isnt any left

And I'm saying that's some of the dumbest shit I've seen written on Reddit.

Let's say every time you slow us all down while you move your wide load, I decided to take a pot shot at you with my gun - don't worry, I can aim it so I'll only get within a foot of you. It would be insane right? That's pretty standard for what cyclists deal with so calm the fuck down and learn how to drive right.

Because they would have said something like “she had a seizure or other medical issue causing her to swerve three fucking feet over.” Pay fucking attention to the road and stop making excuses for shitty drivers.
