I remember driving into Virginia on my moped, from Pennsylvania. It was a warm summer night in August and the smell was delicious. It was a honeysuckle heavy petrichor and it just hit my sense of Virginia summer nostalgia.

I love this place and we’ve gone every year it has been open. The cocktails are not that expensive.
This year we queued much earlier than usual, like 4 pm. Still didn’t get in until 6:15. Also, I feel pretty salty about people allowing friends to join them in the line. I don’t care if it is one person. But we had a group let five people in ahead of us.
The overall scene is a bit too much for me now. I love the Jasper though. And their happy hours are great prices.

Anyone going to Galaxy Con? I went to the wizard world one a couple of years in a row, and it was great when they had panels. Although this looks more like a Q&A, not actual panels hosted by a moderator. Great lineup of people through the weekend, but a lot of times they put big names on there and they suddenly cancel at the last minute… After a lot of tickets have already been sold. At least Wizard World did (now Fan Expo).
