I recently switched over to mint mobile. I was previously using tmobile so I figured there shouldn't be much difference since Mint uses the same network.

But I've found over the past month that I can barely make calls and when I can, they drop. And when I'm on the phone, I can't use data.

Anyone experiencing this?

Update/ I contacted mint and they quickly resolved this. My lte was disabled so I simply switched it on via phone settings. It works well now!

I had a similar issue briefly last year. We had to call in and they did something over the phone that fixed it. Haven't had an issue since. I wasn't able to receive calls and making calls often resulted in dropped calls or me sounding like a demon robot. Meanwhile my partner has the same phone, on the same network, in the same location and no problems. They also extended the time until our renewal so I basically got a month free.

I messaged with them and it seems to be that my LTE setting was turned off. Hopefully that is the fix!

I have been with Mint Mobile for that past 4 years. When you switch over you have to adjust your apn settings and a few other things. I do this when I get a new unlocked phone. Haven't had any issues. You can search on their website how to do it.

I switched last year and had a bunch of problems. I deleted the e-sim off my iPhone, and then re-added one from the mint app, no issues since.

I have Mint and it works well. Breaks up sometimes in Varina. I used to work for nTelos and we used Sprint towers. We were told that Sprint customers had better signal than nTelos customers were given. I assume it’s still the same when a company like Mint rents signal from T-Mobile. So some minor loss in signal may be expected. Take this with a grain of salt, as I worked for nTelos about ten years ago.

I've had mint for 3 years in Richmond and haven't had any issues. At least not any more than my friends with other carriers!

I had some issues this past year with not being able to receive texts. A reboot fixed it, so I'm pretty sure it was the phone, not the network. Other than that, service actually seems to have improved in the past 2 years.

T-Mobile had an outage recently that messed up some Mint users. Have you turned your phone off for five minutes and then cut it back on? That solved all of her issues.
