That's the Gateway Building entrance. Possibly someone was shot somewhere else and they were brought there in a private car instead of the Emergency Department entrance, it's happened before. If someone was shot there, I would have heard it...

I sure hope people are making that choice rather than waiting. There's been a lot of studies recently on quicker transport to a trauma hospital versus EMS care in the field / on the way, and the take-away as far as I can tell is that faster transport to the hospital is much more important for survival and other outcomes than involvement of EMS.

Someone arrived at the ER shot, that is where the call for service was initiated - could have happened somewhere else in the city or even in the counties.
