Only basic nipple extractors which I’ve tried but they’re turning the broken part into mud. This is such a common problem on GM stuff that a special tool exists for it from what I gather

There might be one at the CarQuest in Toano, but that's a 40 mile drive one way. Give em a call

That’s not that far from me tbh. It didn’t pop up when I was searching

What about asking to borrow one from a NAPA with a machine shop? Years ago when I had that issue I ended up just yanking the intake and taking it in to them.

I’m trying my damndest not to pull the intake. What napas have machine shop? Didn’t know that was a thing

I completely understand. They might not have the tool on the shelf, but they may have it back in the machine shop.
O'Reilly claims you can pick up in store by 8am tomorrow, but I'm not sure how reliable that is.

That’s where one of my orders is. Hoping it’s true and I’m just being antsy. Amazon has it showing being delivered tomorrow but it hasn’t shipped and I ordered it Monday

Gotcha. May the odds be in your favor.

Worst case scenario I have to get fancy with a hacksaw blade. That’s what a lot of guys on YouTube did

Ugh. That does not sound fun. Not to mention all those new metal shavings floating around.

So I’ve managed to stuff a good portion of a blue shop towel into the hole for that purpose and to keep the liberal amounts of pb blaster I’ve soaked it with out. Got that base covered

As luck would have it work is sending me to Yorktown tomorrow. They were nice enough to put it on hold for me. Good looking out.

Nice. Good luck with the extraction.

Napa on Chamberlayne used to at least

Hoping it doesn’t go that far. Good to know though

I don't have what you need, but most of the auto parts stores loan tools, just gotta put down a refundable deposit. Maybe one of them has what you need?
