I’ve been in this position before. Did they hire the new guy on because they want to put you on something else? The only thing that’s ever helped me is having a frank convo with my lead to try to convince them to assign the new person to something else. Good luck, I don’t envy your position atm

Thank you. I had the call last night with my boss telling her that I'm okay with handing this off but the new guy better not destroy everything I've built up... she seemed to understand but only time will tell.
