Chat GPT doesn't allow porn, so if Pornhub wants their AI chatbot, they're going to have to make one independently.

or they can just make good prompts, chat gpt doesn't make porn nearly impossible to generate

Anyone worried about AI running amuck/going rogue, this is how it would start. It doesn’t happen because of governmental/military arms race. It comes about because of FOMO and actors with neutral intentions not respecting the fire they’re playing with.

I somewhat agree because these models are basically a black box and it's only going to get worse. To play devil's advocate however I will say that since Snapchat is essentially paying for API access they won't be able to do anything with the model that OpenAI doesn't allow. They still hold the keys so far.

True about the API access but that is only a matter of time (very short time around the corner) until Bing enters the ring with their API. Not to mention any number of other large players IE Tencent, Amazon, Meta, Google etc. once they start giving API access there will be hundreds if not thousands of AI branches coming out at exponential accelerated pace once we start mastering AI coded apps.

Idk if you know this but Microsoft basically owns OpenAI (ChatGPT / GPT3) already and has for a while

They don’t own it, but they’re heavily invested in it. I don’t know what percentage their $10bn investment gave them but I don’t think they have control over OpenAI. I’m sure they have a very loud voice in the room though.

Not a black box its just a blackbox to the average person...

Blackbox in the sense that it's very difficult to detect what the outputs will be given a set of inputs currently. They definitely can be understood at higher levels of abstraction but I think it'll be awhile before the "emergent" behaviors these models sometimes display is well understood.

Absolutely 100%. We will be the casualties when the AIs go to war over whatever they think is important. They won't even notice when they step all over our species and squish us like bugs.

I wish OpenAI hadn't ever released ChatGPT. Also all those "democratize AI" guys screaming for research labs to release their AI for public use. What a mess. Now we're gonna end up with third party non-research corporations trying to use AI to make money to our long term detriment, and probably get royally rekt by some corpo money-making AI.
