We are the singularity or am i missing something? Our brains, it used quantum computing. Quite literally, our consciousness can be represent using quantum field theory. Our emotions are just burst of energy.

Therefore, what we call flow or being creative is our brain optimizing all of our information.

Therefore, we are now experiencing the singularity? Because we are now using technology to sort information and optimize it.

So what is the singularity? Well - its what buddha said. Inner peace, look inward to liberate an individual soul.

Except now we have reach a critical consciousness within humanity, and that basically means enough people will reach liberation from their souls that all of humankind gets liberated. This is what carl jung talks about the ego, persona, shadow.

That is the singularity.

Our world - everything is connected. There is a planetary consciousness. Where we get hit in waves.

Humankind has always been at war with nature since it chose to settle and control nature. The last waves hitting us were existential. But each wave allows many of us to see our collective weakness, and those allow us to evolve.

So, here we go - we saw our shadows, our voids. And as a result, we are entering a mental health revolution. Thats why the 4th industrial revolution is a spiritual one.

Am i in the right space? I am not in ai, but i do want to get into it because i have ideas about it.

I feel everyone around me fear the future. But blockchain is going to revolution our democracies. Ai is going to give us everything. Then we got the emergences of quantum engineers and a bunch of other break thru.

It is an exciting time to be here.

the singularity is a term coined by Ray Kurzweil to refer to a date in the future when A.I. will be smarter than humans, and therefor we will not be able to predict what happens past that date because humans will not be in control of the world anymore.

it has nothing to do with quantum mechanics

edit: i was wrong, it wasnt coined by ray kurzweil

John von Neumann was the first person to use the word "singularity" in terms of a technological singularity (and this term itself was coined by Vernor Vinge).

There's nothing to be sorry about. I can see why people would think that. Ray Kurzweil definitely popularized the term; most people (including myself) first heard about the technological singularity from him.

Precisely, human prediction is based on the past. Thus, rooted in that collective inability to see past our future makes us define the concept in terms of control?

This implies that until the singularity has happened, Ray "we" Kurzweil is able to predict the future!

Wow! I am not able to predict the future. This Ray Kurzweil guy must be a great prophet, then. I better listen carefully what he has to say and buy his books because ... well, he knows the future!

I think quantum entanglement has nothing to deal with consciousness, first nobody seems to really even have a coherent definition of consciousness so I don’t exactly know what we are trying to explain and 2 quantum entanglements is done at cryo temperature and our brains are just some wet massy goo.

No we are not. Go look uo what tge singularity actually is and nit just your assumption based on comments that have no idea either.

Theres no proof that our brain is a quantum computer...

There is proof that our brain uses electrical and chemical signals to transmit information from one neuron to another

Consciousness is not a tangible or measurable thing... Theres no evidence of it and there is really no definite definition for it either

Blockchain hasn't really revolutionized anything but made some millionaires and even some ponzi schemes... And perhaps made it a bit easier to launder money for criminals

Quantum computers aren't really that amazing especially since they require such low temperatures and are extremely fragile...

What will change the world is AGI and advanced robotics at an affordable price... Neuromorphic computing will make AI significantly more energy efficient (more affordable)...

Genetic engineering and epigenetic engineering will also be extremely interesting to watch and already is honestly... Most rare diseases will become curable...

Anti-aging research is on the rise as well... Many causes of aging have been discovered and drugs are now being developed to treat these causes

Oh how convenient. A solution that doesn’t involve looking through the telescope. Get back to work!

We are not the singularity. You are trying to add some kind of spiritual nonsense. The singularity is a technical achievement.

You're missing pretty EVERYTHING.

A singularity is a point where a system breaks down, division by zero, blackhole gravity etc.
In my SciFi I speculate that consciousness involves a singularity, hence 'we are all Singularity's Children'.
