Just a tripod and the kit lens that came with the camera. With a little more time and tweaking I think I can get it a bit clearer.

It's the Panasonic Lumix G95D with a 12-60mm kit lens and a tripod. Going to try to get the most out of what I have before I get any more gear. The temptation is strong, though.

Look for the mirror lock up.settings. this will release the shutter and you won't suffer vibration from pulling and slappingof the mirror. Happy hunting.

You should try at 12mm, with like 20 second exposure time and a little more iso, you will get the milky way visible.
No need to zoom on stars, the more you get, the better.
