Not sure how I feel about this playoff format, 1 then 7 seems better than 3 then 5. 1 game take all is fun while 3 and 5 are still pretty random so it’s kind of unnecessarily drawn out. No slight to the Padres, just an observation from an increasingly casual fan.

Either option is similar schedule length though. MLB refusal to shorten regular season or games is going to cost them more than it is saving them.
