Hello all, the wife and I are looking to put together some care packages to some new friends we met while out of the country. What would you include in a care package? We're thinking a shirt from 5# and some Askinoise but aren't sure of what else since shipping cashew chicken isn't practical. Anything is appreciated!

I did this for some friends last year, here’s some ideas I got-

-Hot Sauce from Cafe Cusco (you can also do Mexican Villa if ya nasty)

  • You can ship Cashew Chicken- or at least, the sauce! A lot of the groceries around here sell it, either in powder or liquid form. I got mine at PriceCutter. (Check if you can ship that stuff to whatever country it is first)

  • some merch from bar of your choice. I sent a beanie from Hold Fast.

  • Culture Flock has cute gifts like stickers and stuff

  • Bass Pro merch obvs

  • I don’t know what your friends are like, but if they’d get a kick out of it Kum N Go merch is a funny idea

  • Stuff from the Zoo or Fantastic Caverns

Loco Roco Hot Sauce! He was talking about bottling it and selling it online, but I don’t know if he ever got around to it.

Five Pound Apparel has the best Springfield/Missouri shirts. They’re hilarious.

You can get a pineapple whip shirt during their “whip solstice” going on right now. They’re set up at Campbell and Walnut Lawn, and they have a drive-thru trailer set up.

I’ve been looking for a place like this! It’s not often I go to any, but none of the bakeries I’ve been to sell those. Thanks for letting me know! And good morning lol

Definitely look into Grove Salsa, Float Trip Pickles, and other local brands. Most local brands are sold at Price Cutter and Hyvee. The price Cutter people are usually fairly helpful in knowing what’s available.

We're pretty close to Branson also, so maybe a hoodie/tshirt or something from Branson/Silver Dollar City?
