Any good dentists that accept Medicare and Medicaid in the city? It's been forever since my last dentist appointment and I desperately need to get on it. I usually go to the Jordan Valley Community Health Center for pretty much all my health needs but their dentistry has a first time client same day appointment policy thing, which is really inconvenient for me because I try to schedule as soon as they open despite me not being a morning person and it turns out people are a helluva lot faster than me because I fail everytime, making me awake in the morning for nothing and it is super annoying.

Avoid Innovative Dental like the plague. When you find someone, if they start spouting off about a ton of work get a second opinion- some dentists have a bad habit of suggesting unnecessary treatments to they can get an extra paycheck from Medicaid.

Dr Nicholas Hein takes UMR but not Humana and is fantastic.

That's a great point. I went to one that accepted my insurance and was cheaper. Suggested doing everything, fixing everything, etc.

Went to another after declining everything, this one now costs more, less is covered by insurance, but is a straight shooter. I ask "hey this spot on my tooth, that bad?", "Nah man it's fine for now, if it starts hurting or get worse we'll fix it but no worries for now!".

If you have an Advantage plan, Mahaffey Family Dentistry accepts Aetna's. It's what I'm on currently. They may accept other plans, but I can't say for sure.

They have been my family's dentists for decades and are absolutely top shelf. Zero upselling or any of that other scammy shit.

I tried there recently and they said they aren't taking new patients. Kinda bummed since they are close to my house and I've heard good things about them.

While I love that their quality is high enough that their patient base is full, I hate that there are so few decent dentists that it becomes impossible to get in with one.

Galleria Dental on Battlefield is really good. Doctor and nurses are super nice and if you don’t have insurance, they offer in-office insurance that’s decent
