I highly recommend NOT eating at CreAsian. If you look up their health inspections it’s always horrible. I honestly don’t know how they haven’t been shut down.
You want the best? It's in lebanon...it's Chi time...sweet and spicy ... they make each order made to order, you pick the spice level. I started at a 4 not knowing what i was getting, settled on an 8...im in love.
The entree is called sweet and spicy. They also have a general.chicken thats good, but not great.
Canton Inn
Peking House has a thick sweet sauce general chicken. It’s unlike any I have ever had. I haven’t been there in awhile but that’s what I always got. They became a little pricey too.
Peking House is also my pick for general, it definitely has a little extra something I haven't found anywhere else. Agreed on the prices, their prices have always been higher than most.
Chinese Chef on Battlefield and Campbell is my favorite, followed by Bao Bao. The sauces they use are a lot tangier than most places.
This is my vote as well.
The Riksha, the only place that seems to actually make it spicy.
I really like their Kung Fu chicken which very similar to their general, but with cashews.
Totally agree with this. I prefer the Kung Fu but both are good.
Pine Garden has decent general chicken, but everything else there is meh.. Leongs off of Republic rd is pretty good as well.
Its my go to general tso's.
Cashew Station is 🔥🔥🔥
Bao Bao is the best general in town
There’s a food truck called Pa Chans on republic road that is to DIE for
Bao bao
Yum Yum Bowl
the wok on scenic has great general chicken imo
Cashew Station has been my #1 for 10+ years
Leong's General Chicken is great
My favorite general chicken is China Star on republic road by Harter House.

Yum Yum Bowl
Try wal marts
KOREAN GARDEN IN WILLARD.
5 spice china grill is amazing. Its off glenstone
Depends on your preference for General chicken. If you like heat I'd say make it at home.
Most of the general ive found in the area is more sugary than spicy

I'm a big General chicken fan and have particular tastes about it
The best one I used to get in town was from Mimi's Hong Kong Inn on Battlefield near the Hy-vee. It was dirt cheap and so good. Unfortunately the business changed hands and the place is now Golden Cuisine. I say unfortunately but that's not quite accurate. Golden Cuisine is still pretty darn good and I get it from time to time, but it's not quite like it used to be. It's still probably my favorite place for General, but instead of being an 11 out of 10 it's an 8 out of 10. Still worth a try
In Nixa is a place called Cashew Inn, Cashew Out. They are right off of Campbell near Big Whiskeys. Their General Chicken is really distinct and I love to get it once every like 4 months. It's not the best stuff in the world, but like I said it is very distinct and if you haven't found General chicken anywhere else I'd recommend giving it a shot there just to see what you think. Although fair warning it might be utter trash for you because again, very different. Oh and don't get the wontons there. They are basically egg rolls in wonton wrappers which are fine, but not really want I want when I crave fried wontons
The place on Battlefield in the gas station in front of Buffalo Wild Wings is also a very solid General chicken. I don't think it's mindblowing or anything but it's solid to get if you're in the area
Finally not necessarily General chicken related I will always recommend China King on Republic Road. The people there are super awesome and I love supporting them. The only problem is I think their 'Springfield Chinese' dishes are very mediocre. I would never order General Chicken there because it's just not great. Where they shine are the more 'authentic' Asian cuisine dishes. Think Mei fun, stir fry, stuff like that. I am starting to salivate right now just thinking about their Hunan chicken (well, I get chicken and broccoli with Hunan sauce added. It's my all-time favorite stir fry dish). Give them a shot some day
Oh and I used to really like CreAsian. My girlfriend and I would go there like once a week for lunch when we first started dating. But when the pandemic hit in 2020 they changed some stuff and the last 2-3 times I went I was not very pleased with what I got. I should and will give them another shot but I'm talking it went from 9/10 to 4/10
