It’s been awhile since I’ve eaten at Golden Dragon but last time I went, they were drive-thru only. Anyone know if they’ve opened it back up for dine in? I’ve gotta get my Young’s chicken fix soon

Diamond Head in Republic is the same way. I can’t blame them; customer numbers are still good, they no longer have food waste, lower staff expenses, etc. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more restaurants opening as drive-through only in the future.

The owners of Golden Dragon are absolute chads for not accepting a buy-out from Ol' Fish Dick. I heard he severely lowballed them on the value of their property and they told him to kick rocks.

Good for them. They were my mom’s and two of my aunt’s first jobs. It’s crazy how long they’ve been around.

I have no clue if they ever did, as I always went through the drive thru, but I was just saying they seem like they have no interest in staffing a lobby, keeping it clean for customers, or doing things like a buffet because they’re probably making just as much of not more through the drive thru only. Last time I went there the lobby was full of to-go boxes and containers.

Yes, I don’t think they’ll ever open the lobby again. They make just as much money not having to staff it, clean it, or make food for a buffet.
