Are there any affordable pest control services in Springfield? My autism services got suspended because I guess I got bed bugs so I need to get this problem treated ASAP.

Try Campbell Pest Control. Less than $100 and I’ve basically never had a bug problem since I started using them.

My landlord recommended them too. But when I called them they said it would cost like 400 dollars.

That seems about right for bed bugs. You can’t just spray for them. The rooms they are located in have to be superheated to kill all of them and their eggs.

Hmm, when they "superheat" the room, is that gonna mess with any technology? Because my laundry room is more like a laundry closet directly attached to my bedroom. So if that's gonna be a problem then I figure throwing out the whole bed sounds like a better option

Dr. Google says they heat the room to 118 degrees for 90 minutes, minimum, to kill all bed bugs and their eggs. So, I probably wouldn't run a computer while they're doing a treatment, but your appliances and stuff will be fine.

If you were to throw the bed out, you'd probably be left with eggs on the floor or at least one bed bug... all you need is one to restart an infestation.

Bed bugs are a heat treatment solution short of throwing EVERYTHING away. They have to basically heat the entire contents of the place…down to the interiors of of objects…not just the air temp to I wanna say 160 degrees.

It’s gonna take a few hours and prob cost a few hundred bucks at minimum.

The Ant Man is who I've used for years. I don't know if they do bedbugs, but they probably do. They got rid of a brown recluse infestation for me.

On it Pest Control Solutions

I don’t know about Cost but we haven’t had an infestation in our country home since we bought the place in 2014.

Last time I needed an exterminator we used Brown Recluse Xpert, guy was friendly, helpful, on time, did a great job and was reasonable for a whole house treatment.

Tbh idk if they're still around or not, but of inhad a problem it's who I would start looking for

DIY tip:

https://www.domyown.com/bed-bug-kit-p-233.html (they have more stuff to look at, just type in bed bug and do some research)

https://www.domyown.com/how-to-get-rid-of-bed-bugs-a-449.html (article about how to treat and ways to get rid of them, it's cool to read. It even has videos of the process)

I've used the products from this website for just basic maintenance, but in 2021 we bought a house that had a roach infestation my partner and I were unaware of (I guess they hid it well. I was freaking pissed). I tried everything from amazon/stores and even called an exterminator and I still saw some (over the course of like 4 months). I bought a bottle off this website for $10 and used a gallon sprayer and have never seen another roach since. Every six months or so I order another bottle and go around the yard to be safe. I don't know if this will work as well since bed bugs are hell to get rid of, but it could be a last resort, or you could use the products as a follow-up treatment like I did after the first extermination. I do believe that a lot of the stuff they sell is professional grade, so it should be the same type of products an exterminator would use. It probably depends on the case though. If it's to the point where you lift up your mattress and the corners are black and hundreds scatter, your home needs the be quarantined off and bombed (and the home heat treated) by a professional to kill them.

If you have a garage or a safe backyard to put some of your furniture/clothes outside and keep it covered from the elements, the negative-degree weather coming up should be cold enough to kill eggs. But I wouldn't bring them in until you have eradicated the little b*stards. Good luck OP.

edit: If you buy anything, make sure to read if it requires a separate sprayer. You can buy them elsewhere for a bit cheaper too!
