Or the circuit clerk didn’t forward a copy of the judgment to the Highway Patrol’s CJIS division. This happens a lot more often then you’d like to think; not everything is nefarious or neglectful on the part of law enforcement.
There are a number of other non-nefarious scenarios where the computer record doesn’t get expunged like it should.

I haven’t heard anything about that. I just assumed it was sarcasm tinged in truth related to Arnott and the homeless incident.

Look for the thread in this sub. Sheriff Arnott enforced the state anti-homelessness law by kicking some folks off private land and then allowed a property owner (or maybe even members of his own department) to destroy personal property belonging to the homeless individuals.

That’s a link to the State of Missouri’s page on representing yourself. The clerks can’t give you any advice on anything, but the state does run a program on how to file certain common actions, like divorces and name changes.

While there may very well be issues at the property, that has no bearing on whether it is being condemned. Condemnation is simply the name of the proceeding used to acquire property through the city’s eminent domain rights.

There’s no safety issue, in spite of the word “condemn”. Condemnation is just the legal proceeding that is used to take property using the city’s right to eminent domain.

Oh, that’s not what the poster is implying. They’re implying that it is wrong to buy property and rent it back for profit because they’re a commie.

Thirded. They’ve been really great. Just recently moved back to Springfield and got them at my neighbor’s recommendation.
Also, their cans are newer. That might mean something to someone. LOL

THAT?! Jeez. I’m no civil engineer but it seems like there might be a better alternative to condemning a building to fix that bridge.

Before they put up the little flexible barriers, people would come to a complete stop at the turn on to 65SB from Chestnut and would back up traffic for MILES. Still happens from time to time but not as frequently.
Also glad I don’t have to make that drive anymore.

If you want to use your phone and be disruptive or have a child that is going to be disruptive, neurotypical or not, either go to an all ages show at Alamo (I think they even do shows where the volume is lowered and the lights aren’t as dim for audio visually sensitive children) or go somewhere else.

My house was built in 1885. 3600 sq feet. Newer appliances, dual zone heating/cooling (electric heat pump upstairs manufactured 2021, gas furnace downstairs, installed 2001). Keep the thermostats sort of low (60-65), use space heaters in individual rooms. Our bill last month was $676.
Highly recommend downloading CU’s app and monitoring usage that way. If you have a new meter - which you should - all three utilities update hourly.

I don’t think you can judge loneliness by people living alone, or doesn’t necessarily mean those people are lonely. That’s a dull definition.
That being said, I do think SWMO is pretty lonely if you aren’t churchgoing or into hunting/fishing… especially the churchgoing part, though.

I’m right there with you, brother.
Pibb can be found in the Springfield metro area at the Hy-Vee gas station (soda fountain only), and Silver dollar city. Otherwise, you’re going to have to get out of the Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Company‘s distribution area. So, Benton County (Warsaw), Joplin, West Plains would be the places to go.
I used to have a job that would bring me all over the state and I would always come back with Pibb.

Midtown houses Cox North which houses the local mental health facility. Knowing somebody that has had a (voluntary) stay there, they do tend to release folks that might be homeless with no resources or anything, so it wouldn’t surprise me if this gentleman had just been released from Cox North.
I haven’t been in Midtown all that long but my neighbors have been here 30+ years. They’ve had a couple of experiences similar to this, but not regularly.
