Thoughts? Paid advertising with comments censored? Users suspended or blocked for disagreements?

It's been almost 3 years ago now, but I think some of my comments were blocked related to supporting masking and therefore making political statements 🙄 I left the group and didn't look back. I don't feel I've missed out on anything worthwhile.

Facebook is trash in general I just use the marketplace side of it now, and as a resource for information about small businesses since they seem to exclusively use Facebook around here.

I'm in that group and am regularly astounded that so many people seem incapable of using Google.

every single post there is some variation of

"Delete if not allowed. ISO the absolute best but also absolute cheapest burger in town? TIA"

with 36 replies that say "macdonals", one guy being snarky with "my house", someone that managed to tag a restaurant in thailand somehow, and then a side argument over whether vaccines cause foot fungus buried in the replies

People are stupid enough to pay for advertising on a Facebook page. Sounds like this is similar to the air duct guys, just a big scam and waste of money! Like who’s gonna read a magazine to see Facebook posts.

You have, you just aren't aware of it. r/hailcorporate points out ads, browsing using reveddit shows some deleted comments. If you use reveddit or look into shadow-banning much, you might come to the conclusion that this site is quite the social engineering tool and that 'your' opinions probably aren't your own.

I just want to know if I’m mentioned in the Blast Him Sis group tbh
