I think Comcast is saying 10g just to counter T-mobiles 5g home internet. With Comcast I was paying $280 for TV and internet. I got T-Mobile and streaming tv for $120 a month now. I would imagine Comcast is getting a lot of similar cancelations.

I thought it was that vampire family who were countering t-mobile's service πŸ€”. Hopefully they didn't try surfing during the day πŸ˜”& now that's why Comcast is going off about 10G.

Seriously though 10G is really available on Comcast & you're right cord cutters are killing cable tv. A couple of months ago streaming beat cable by ~1% for the first time in history. The streaming numbers are growing.

Wish I could get rid of Xfinity, but stupid board of directors didn't listen to me about cord cutting & FAST... now a 10 year Xfinity contract, where they'll be raising prices more & more. 😭

Note: I think Comcast is like google... they're watching my posting about them & placed an ad at the top of the thread.

They do have 10G, truly meant for business, via Full duplex fiber with DOCSIS 4.0.

They're just marketing the 10G shit at residential customers, esp. gamers & gen z'ers who want to be the coolest, and more so because of their customers' ignorance & "dependance" πŸ™„on the Internet.

You can't use 10G in residential, unless you have a business grade network, CE doesn't support 10G speed.

Edit: quotes on dependence for sarcasm
