Not to mention there's any number of reasons people would pay to create conflict.

Now granted this isn't 100% factual. But its a pretty good indicator. Youtubers make money from things besides youtube algorithms. It's not that complicated to understand.

You can also look at his patreon and see he makes 4000 a month from that alone.
