Who got the best cheesesteak in VT
JCCS is better than Jersey Mike's for sure.
Burlington Bay used to, but I haven’t eaten there in years, so probably 2 dozen staffers ago? NTTAWWT. The key is garlic mayo and theirs was/is the bomb…
You mean Simon's? I love theirs.
Paisley Hippo in Hinesburg is my favorite. Over the many years I've been going the quality has been consistent, they do no mess up my order, and the staff is great.

I find their food to be very mediocre, nice staff/service but just like "meh" grub.
I haven’t had many cheesesteaks in Vermont but the Farmers and Foragers food truck makes a pretty tasty cheesesteak.
Bessery's market in the new north end of burlington. Very meat heavy and seasoned well. Cheese on top so the bread doesn't become a soggy mess
Wicked wings in Winooski has a good one!
Red Barn Deli on Tilley Drive in South Burlington
Kismayo Kitchen near the Intervale in Burlington - Somali cheesesteak.
Ida by a long shot. Everything else doesn’t come close. Guys from Philly and makes his own bread/ hand slices the meat. Take one look on IG and you will get one
That sounds interesting. Do they just use xawaash spices?

I don’t know! They are a Somali restaurant with a small menu, and the cheesesteak isn’t too far off from a traditional Philly one, so not sure what makes it Somali per se.
I've been wanting to check that place out for a while. This might be the straw. I've heard nothing but great things
It’s super cheap too so you have nothing to lose.
I love the cheesesteak at Boutins
Idas Pies. Guy is a bit controversial but it's incredible. Makes his own bread, in itself is incredible, all top quality ingredients. $22 bucks but it's huge.. basically two large sandwiches.. guy posts his menu daily on IG but the cheesesteaks only make a rare appearance. Get em when you can.
Pizza Chef in Quechee. Out of the way but best I've found in the Upper Valley area. Most places around here precook the meat, don't mix the cheese into the meat and veggies just lay it on top.
Hell yeah! That place is severely underrated!
Oooh this post makes me want to make a whole checklist of cheese steaks to buy.
Me
If you want to try something outside the usual, Nourish Deli in St. Albans has a vegan "Cheezsteak". I haven't tried that dish but it's a great place in general.
Still have never had the pizza but the cheese steak is incredible.
Across from Shaws? I’ll have to try that out next time I’m in town

Try their BLT too, half pound of bacon every time. My coworkers and I stop here on the reg
The owner is a wook an absolute douche nozel, don’t support him in anyway. Charges $28 for a cheese pie that’s burnt, runny, and acts like he’s gods gift to earth for moving here from Pennsylvania. His food is overinflated garbage for hipsters.
Also he steals tips from employees and demands you pay a %25 tip for takeout.
Their sandwiches are better than anything you can get anywhere remotely nearby. Far from mediocre.
I second this
Take a few deep breaths bud. You’ll be ok.
Hoagie Hut in Colchester, seems to be under new ownership too!
This is the correct answer. I swear by it.
New ownership?? Big if true.
Marco’s pizza on Williston road
This is the correct answer. I really don’t understand the hate for this place.
Henry’s diner
He's pretty aggressive with his opinions and responses on IG so it definitely divides people and gets people riled up. Sometimed hes pretty douchy on there (its kinda funny tbh). Idk.. I've had an awesome time there and a very unpleasant time there. I can't speak about how he treats employees but he's had the same crew for a while now so they seem happy enough.
But at the end of the day, hands down my favorite cheesesteak.
What was your very unpleasant time? I’ve only had great times.
The music was so bad it was comical. I normally don't mind grateful dead but it was very experimental and at one point there was a twenty minute crazy solo/interlude thing with screeching and banging and crazy noises that went on Foreverrrrrrrrrrr and was super super loud. It was kinda wild. And we were getting hungry after waiting an hour for the food (pizza and sammy). I'm normally fine with all sorts of music and if it's loud, whatever - but this was extreme. Food was good though.
> demands you pay a %25 tip for takeout.
Seriously? What if you refuse?
Complains about you on his Instagram lol
